      <description>hi&lt;BR /&gt;I need to backup informix logs using ontape -c utility&lt;BR /&gt;(continuous backup) is there any way to now that the tape is full and it must be changed.&lt;BR /&gt;thanks for your help.&lt;BR /&gt;bye</description>

      <description>We use DLT's and change the tape daily. We've never come close to filling one.  I think even with DAT tapes, you should be able to fit a day's worth of logs on a tape.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pete</description>

      <description>You are always informed by a message to let you know when the tape is full.  If you want to terminatewriting to a tape before it gets fulll press the INTR key and it will stop at the end of the current logical log.</description>
