    <description>I think this is what you want .. ??&lt;BR /&gt;# /usr/sbin/sig_named restart&lt;BR /&gt;That should reload the the DB on the name server (as it says in the man page for "sig_named").</description>

      <description>sig_named restart is correct. It will reload the database and bounce the named daemon.</description>

      <description>the restart option does not clean up the cache, been there, done that...it mainly kicks off the zone updater that looks to see if any zone updates are needed without waiting for the zone update time to happen&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what is needed is to kill and restart named by using&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sig_named kill&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/sbin/named&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
