just go get xvfb from software.hp.com

Install it, run it and Oracle Reports will work fine. Don't bother with Oracle support on this one, they are clueless, a year after HP helped me solve this problem.

What kind of information are you looking for?

I searched the TKB using 'xclock' as the search term, and came up with 61 results.

Try that and see if you can find what you require.

Let's get everbody up to speed : here's the post Bobbi's was referring to :

hhttp://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/0,,0xc5928cc5e03fd6118fff0090279cd0f9,00.html

The kbrc doc does seem to have disappeared ... well I can't find it I'll raise the issue with Dan.

Bobbi : I know you are looking to start xvfb in conjunction with Oracle forms but why do you need to start Xclock ?

What have you done so far, any errors and what are you aiming for ?

The only reason I can think you are looking at Xclock must be the fact that Oracle forms is having problems using just the xvfb display by itself, I've heard reports that some apps/gui's may also require either mwm (a window manager) to be running in conjuction with xvfb or a simple X application such as Xclock is this your problem ?
