maxfiles maxfiles_lim on HP_UX 11.0

Hi,
on my HP_UX 11.00 system,
maxfiles and maxfiles_lim kernel parameters are set to 2048, when I try to raise the values I get an error stating that the maximum value is 2048.
any workaround ?

The limit is supposed to be 60000. When do you see the error? I was able to enter a value of 3000 in SAM and it was accepted. Are you up to date on SAM patches?
