is it just some text that you need.. or the file itself?

mailx -s "SUBJECT" mail_address < file

that will read the file and use it as the body of the message. If you want a file intact... better off using ftp

Ted

Here is something I make extensive use of to sentd results as an attachment to an email address:

ux2dos full_path/to_file | uuencode Name_Of_Attachment.txt | mailx -m -s "Title of Email" someone@somewhere.com

Best of Luck,

dl

You can also use elm without having to uuencode. For example:

elm -s "My Subject" address@somewhere.com << END
[include /tmp/myfile application/octet-stream base64]
END

Regards,

Rich
