    <description>Hi Daniel,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try checking the file type by using:&lt;BR /&gt;   file &lt;FILENAME&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If it says that this is a tar archive then check the way you transferred it to the system - for example, was it FTP'd using ASCII format instead of BINARY...?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Let us know the results!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ollie.&lt;/FILENAME&gt;</description>

      <description>When I try to untar a file that contains a NNM 6.1 database I get the following error into the untar process "directory checksum error".&lt;BR /&gt;I make use of the following command -- (tar -xvf test.tar).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can anyone please help me with this problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards and Thanks</description>

      <description>checksum error could be because of &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1.incomplete download file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2.ascii transfer from the windows machine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Transfer the file in binary mode from windows machine&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>
