Samba : ux2dos command

Is there a method of automating the conversion of files that are pulled from a HPUX box to a WinNT.

For example: if you access a HPUX txt file on Windows you get the CarraigeReturn characters displayed, if you did it manually you would use ux2dos,Is there a config variable I can set to do this job automatically?

Hi Russ:

Specify 'ASCII' file transfers during the FTP, instead of binary ones.

This question has come up before in the forum and on samba's web site. The answer is no, because the binary files could be damaged.

Check out http://www.samba.org to see the discussion on this topic and maybe a future release of samba may have a way around it.
