i am using hpux 11.11 and informix 9.3
when we were doing testing in tehe server tje rootdbs in gone
can any one give me the command to craete rootdbs

Youre going to have to provide more information. Is rootdbs a logical volume youve created ?

If you do a mount -a command then a bdf, did you get any errors ? are all your filesystems mounted ?

Hi,
Either you retrive from backup media or you have to re initialize the database.
#oninit -i
(all data will be lost)
