Hi Jeff, it's been a long time since I connected to a V, but recall (on the 2500) that you need to access the test station (workstation) and log on as user sppuser
sp user was our default passwords .

Some windows should be opened automatically, out of which more or less correspond to a GSP interface.

Later,
Bill

Jeff:

there is a TOC button in the key switch pannel.
Hello,

Through the test station, you should have a window that you can issue comands. The command is do_reset and the command I use is:

do_reset 0 4

This initiates a crash dump and then reboots the V

Hope this helps

Chris

All,

I don't know, pushing a button seems *awfully* difficult ;~)

Thanks folks, guess I should have perused the puppy before I posted the question. But then again I had the answer in about the same amount of time it would've taken to walk back to the data ctr :~)

Thanks all,
Jeff

P.S. I knew Patrick would chime in on this one - Thanks Patrick. Oh & thanks to those who provided the command line method as well.

Question - is the do_reset 0 4 executed from an SPP session or from the actual console session?
