Bill Hassell referred in the Netherlands to a patch that would be available for 11i that would make PFS internal knowledge to the mount command, so the pfs daemons would become obsolete. What wonderfull thought (AIX supports this for a long time already).

He also said that a 11.00 patch would follow shortly.

I cannot find any patch regarding this subject for neither 11i nor 11.00. Tried finding on RRIP and on PFS.

Does anybody can shed some light on this?

Hi,
Ok, I know, I should think before I act, but I was so pleased with the mailaddress provided (spp@cup.hp.com) that I just send them a (very polite) mail requesting the (beta) patches ... without knowing who these people are.

Boy, I won't make that mistake again. Let's just say I got a "less than polite" reply saying that ITRC might be for everybody but they only catered for "the high and mighty".

Ah well, I'll just have to wait, won't I :-)
Regards,
Tom
Greetings...

spp@cup.hp.com is the technical support email address for the DSPP (Developer Solution Provider Program) and we provide services to HP software partners to help them do development and porting on HP platforms. We occasionally receive requests from non-members which we do try to answer on a best effort basis. At the same time, we describe our program and encourage those requestors to sign up if they are software vendors.

I apologize for any negative impression caused by my response to Tom's request to spp@cup.hp.com.

Here is the latest information regarding Rockridge support on HP-UX 11.0:

11.00: PHKL_26448 (kernel)
PHCO_26449 (command)
PHKL_26450 (header for compile)
- All these patches are cut and tested, but waiting for final management review. The patches are expected to be released very soon.

Vivienne
The person behind spp@cup.hp.com.
