although you didn't mention the h/w or graphics card the following may be of use :

I'd recommend installing from http://www.software.hp.com/ER_products_list.html

the HP-UX 11.00 Graphics Technical Computing Environment

The Graphics and Technical Computing Environment bundle includes the following software:

Additional enhancements have been added on this bundle to provide utility functions, device drivers, and common run-time support for the Visualize Graphics devices including the Visualize fx5 and fx10 graphics cards in the following API's.
OpenGL - The OpenGL application programming interface (API) is the industry standard for rendering 3D graphics images.
Starbase - This is Hewlett-Packard's proprietary 3D graphics API which includes the HP-UX Starbase Graphics Development Environment.
PHIGS - This refers to Hewlett-Packard's implementation of the Programmer's Hierarchical Interactive Graphics Standard.
HP-UX PEX - Hewlett-Packard has implemented much of the functionality in the PEXlib 5.2 graphics API.

It would be a good place to start.

the command graphinfo which you may not have just yet /opt/common/graphics/bin will give you good info of versions/patch levels on the various apis'

other info :

http://tcnews.external.hp.com:8000/sdrc/patches/index.html#ms5

also take a look at http://www.hp-partners.com/ptc_public/html/technical_support/index.htm
I am running HP-UX 11 with Dec 2001 Quality pack.

I am getting this OpenGL error with my CAD software SDRC
Inconsistent HP OpenGL Versions between your Client and X Server machines.
Continuing execution with reduced performance.
To disable this output, specify the environment variable:
HPOGL_SLS_DISABLE_OUTPUT=1

The user is running the software from a remote host. The error is pretty straight foward. How do I go about checking OpenGL versions an getting them to the same level?
I apologize for my posting etiquette. I have found the versions by searching old posts. Thanks for the heads up on what to do before posting. I may have yet another question on this but I am going to look first.

I installed the December 2001 OpenGL Runtime Patches and this took the host to rev 1.26.
Now one host is running 1.26 and the other is running 1.25. I have to wait and see if this will work if not I am going to update the other host to 1.26.
