sendmail and patch

Hi All,
I tried to install PHNE_25183 on my HP-UX B.10.20
I got an error(see attachment), since then I don???t see anymore my sendmail in the running process .
/sbin/init.d/sendmail stop or start does not do anything.
The strange thing is that I can still send mails from this server
Anyone any idea ???

Hi,

Sounds like the swagentd daemon died during install.
Try bouncing swagentd on the target system.

Hi A.K:

The patch you 've installed has special install instructions associated with that. Read that and make the changes appropriate to you. You can find it out from the README file or from the patch description.

It says about recreating the mail database files under /etc/mail, configuring the /etc/nsswitch.conf file, using the new sendmail.cf file etc.

You can stop it with
swagentd -k
start it with
swagentd -r

Also I'd recommend you stop sendmail on the target before patch installation.
