topic Model 20 Disk Array - Terminal hang in Operating System - HP-UX

The session to the SPA has hung. SPB is fine.

Anyone know if the model 20 firmware supports an interrupt to get back to a menu, or to the top menu. Figure it must do, cause if SPB fails now we would be in trouble.

I was somewhere under the 'FE' menus and pressed a wrong key. And now CTRL-L doesn't redraw the screen.

Failing a good key sequence I will do a power_onoff on Sunday night to restore things to normal.

Thanks

Simon

Powercycling a Nke is always a bad idea. Especialy when you have noe cule about the status of the array. Maybe you have unassinged dirty pages.

Better try to remove the SP by disable and enable it

Thanks for the pointer Patrick.

I'll look at disabling SPA for SPB.

Obviously I'd prefer not to do this either - as the either I suffer the fail over period - or I have to reconfigure all the LV's.
