Print in queue but never print.

Hello,

One B132L model running HP-UX 10.2. When I print and do lpstat, the file is in the queue but never print.

- ping printer, it is responding.
- check with SAM, printer and plotter, showing busy.

When I cancel the printing,

- SAM, printer and plotter showing disable. Then I have to enable it again. Please advise.

It looks like the print queue is currupt. Try disabling, rejecting, clearing the queue and then again accepting and enabling.
Or else remove the print queue and recreate it.

I agree with Rajeeve. If you can't fix the problem restarting the print device and spooler, then remove and re-add the printer. You may also want to cycle power on the printer and check your cable connections.

Do any lights flash on the printer when you send a job? This would tell you if you are at least getting something to the printer.

Start HP Distributed Print Service .. Fail

Thats for the HP Distributed print service. If you are not using it disable through sam.

But my other machine also having this.

This B132L machine is acting like remote printer. Should I remove it?

Is it failing now? or it always failed. If it was always failing just remove it from both B132L otherwise dont worry it make no harm leave it as it is.

I have delete all the print queue, disable then enable but printer still showing busy everytime and the print file in the queue forever. Is there anything with HPDPS?
