Hey all,

trying to bring up sybase and we are getting this error. Any help is greatly appreciated.

basis_daioconfig: ioctl(ASYNC_CONF
IG) failed: Not owner

basis_daioconfig: ioctl(ASYNC_ADDS
EG) failed: I/O error

As root

/usr/sbin/setprivgrp sag MLOCK

the group of the user id that is supposed to own the data.

This is required on 11.00 to enable asyncrhonous disk access.

This started to become necssary for oracle and software ag databases (sag user and group), starting with the December 2000 HP patch set.
