      <description>Andy,&lt;BR /&gt;please note that lanscan can display wrong MAC address. To be sure you see LAN card's built-in MAC address you should use PDC.&lt;BR /&gt;There're 2 files in hpux at /etc/rc.config.d: hpetherconf and hpbase100conf where MAC address can be assigned to LAN card (HP_ETHER_STATION_ADDRESS) and this MAC address will override native card's MAC address. That's why people who simply dd'ing systems usually get MAC address conflicts&lt;BR /&gt;Eugeny</description>

      <description>Just splitting a hair here.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Servers don't have MAC addresses, NIC cards do.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you have two NIC cards, you have two MAC addresses, which are unique to each card, even if they are the exact same model.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have nothing to add to the commands provided earlier by others, they were really good.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steve</description>
