swcopy error due to PHKL_18543

Once again the patch from hell PHKL_18543, has raised its ugly head and stopped me in my tracks while attempting to create a patch bundle using HP???s ???create_depot_hp-ux_1??? script. The analysis phase of the swcopy failed for all the patches that have a prerequisite of PHKL_18543.

Since this patch is properly installed and configured, my question to you is, how do I bypass this error and successfully complete the creation of the batch bundle for install?

when you do your swcopy use the option:

-x enforce_dependencies=false

inlude PHKL_18543 in the patch bundle.

install with this command line

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x reinstall=false -s /fullpatth of depot.

run check_patches and see that there are no errors with PHKL_18543

swlist -l product PHKL_18543

Make sure its there.

As I can tell from your message text you already know that reinstalling PHKL_18543 is NOT an option.

Correction:

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x reinstall=false -s /fullpatth of depot. \*

otherwise you get in the interactive swinstall
