NetTerm emulation problem

Hi there,

We have a new HP 11.0 installation on a new L3000 server.

I only have MirrorDisk/UX and a few patches installed....nothing else.

I'm experiencing a problem when using sam....and the thought is that my emulation is not setup correctly (therefore giving me the problems).

I'm using NetTerm 4.2. It is setup as vt100 emulation.

When I login to the L3000 server and type echo $TERM, it says vt100.

But, I keep having problems when in sam....and like I said, the thought is that there may be a problem with my emulation setting.

Any ideas or suggestions? Is there a different emulation setting that I need to use for 11.0 on a L3000 server?

Is there a different software package that I should be using?

Hi Cindy,

What problems do you have with sam?. Does your "clear" work?. If so, then your emulation setting should be ok.

You need to get the latest Gold pack installed.

There are several problems fixed with this.

Also, there is a specific sam patch dealing with erratic behavior on the 11.11 side. Perhaps there is one on the 11.00 side as well.

Try configuring NetTerm for vt220, and setting TERM to vt220.

I have been using NetTerm3.2 with sam, swinstall, etc without problems.
