      <description>looks like your CDE background processes are not running.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This should start the process.</description>

      <description>Run and correct errors &amp;amp; warnings generated by /usr/contrib/bin/X11/dr_dt&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is root user affected ? is the system trusted and is NIS or NFS mounts involved here ... also anything logged to /var/dt/Xerrors, syslog.log or $HOME/.dt/startlog ?</description>

      <description>Some time  problem is also&lt;BR /&gt;because of the following&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. .profile file&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-- Move the .profile to .profile.old  and then try to login.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2. If you have disk quota enable and if it is full &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3. also check the parameters set i /etc/default/security (if u have done any )&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Niraj</description>
