I've been getting this message lately upon starting up my windows XP pro. I can't seem to get rid of it. Please help anyone. WJVIEW Error: Can not execute main:

To find it, you'll need to check your Startup group and/or the Registry.

Registry:
HKLM /Software /Microsoft /Windows /current version /Run

This can also be under:
HKCU /Software /Microsoft etc. as above
or
HK_USERS (look under each of the users found .DEFAULT S-???, etc.)

Once in /Run, locate the entry and see if it's something you want to correct, or remove.

WJVIEW is the Microsoft Command Line Loader for Java.

Jon's suggestion should help you find the source of the error. You might want to consider going to www.windowsupdate.com and installing the critical patches and drivers, and if time and internet bandwidth permit, the recommended fixes.

I had this problem on my computer. I had deleted a program without using the proper procedure of going into the ADD/Remove option. I received the same error WJVIEW cannot load main. I solved this problem by re-installing the program that I had deleted and then went back to the Add/Remove option and Uninstalled it properly. This stopped the Jview error. It seems to me that there probably was still remaining elements of this program trying to boot when I started my computer even though I had deleted some of it. Anyway I would advise others with this problem to re-install whatever they have tried to delete on their own and then uninistall it correctly throught the Add/Remove program. Good Luck. It worked for me.
