Adding Contacts

Hi, when i add a contact in AD in server domain of my organization and i
try to send email to this contact it haven't its address email but when i
create a contact in exchange 2000 server it ask me the adress email and
all function. Well, but i don't want to be always on this server to create
new contact, i must create contact with taskpad view and give it to
another people user. How can i do?

The "Exchange Tasks" (necessary for mail enabling a Contact) will only show up if the Exchange Admin tools are installed on the server/PC you are administering from.

Another alternative (that does not require Exchange Admin tools installed) is to use a 3.rd party tool like DameWare

Hi,
sorry I was not specific enough.

You run x:\SETUP\I386\SETUP.EXE from the Exchange 2003 CD and select to install only the Microsoft Exchange System Management Tools.
(There is a SETUP.EXE at the root catalog of the CD also but that contains the Exchange Deployment tools and other things)

Note also that if you are in a mixed Exchange 5.5 and 2003 environment you can also install the Exchange 5.5 Administrator.
(The admin for 2003 has read-only access to Exchange 5.5)
