Shalom,

The PA-RISC 1.1 depots are intended for 11.00 which is close to end of life. Therefore depots are getting scarce.

Check my profile, this question:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1038938

HP is apparently working on a way of providing access to older archives.

You don't need 1.1 depots for 11i v1, it will use 2.0 archives no problem at all.

For special needs, see Merijn's site.

http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1030831
http://www.hpux.ws/merijn

SEP

I just installed lli v1 on an old D-Class server (PA-RISC 1.1). Will this server intall PA-RISC 2.0 depots properly, and will the software work properly once installed? I'm trying to find PA-RISC 1.1 depots for installing the apps and am having a hard time. Any help would be much appreciated.

GBR

If you have 11.11 (11iv1) Installed at all I think you should be fine running PA-RISC 2.0 executables. I think only the oldest D-Class server are stuck on 11.00 only.

Hi Greg,

Well it will all boil down to two things:

1) The model # of that D-class - last 2 digits must be >=70 else the system is only 32-bit

2) If >=70 then which OS (32 or 64 bit) was installed.

PA-RISC 2.0 is 64-bit whereas 1.1 is 32-bit

HTH,
Jeff

If the software states it will run in 32 bit, there is a chance it will work. If it states 64 bit only, it will not.

PA risc 1.1 = 32 bit
PA risc 2.0 = 64 bit

You can try these site for software as well

http://mirrors.develooper.com/hpux/
http://gatekeep.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/

A PA1.1 machine can't run PA2.0 code.

>Derek Whigham I thought there were PA-RISC 2.0N (32Bit) and PA-RISC 2.0W (64Bit) options so the 2.0N would work

Yes, you could? install a 32 bit kernel on a PA2.0 system. And you can run +DA2.0 +DD32 on a PA2.0 system.
