    <description>Hello All,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I've had this problem for a few months now. I've been doing some kernel changes on a test box to resolve the issue.       <description>Also, Look at this:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;root@piranha ASU]# insmod ide-cd&lt;BR /&gt;insmod: ide-cd: no module by that name found&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lsmod returned nothing at all...&lt;BR /&gt;This is a problem I assume.</description>

      <description>Hello Robert,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;as for the module, how did you build the kernel? Maybe it is not setup as a module but compiled into the Kernel. I think this should be the CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDECD setting.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also do you only miss the CD in the cdrecord -scanbus or are you not able to work with it at all?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Greetings, Martin</description>
