      <description>You can safely ignore most of these messages.  It's basically just information taht helps debugging if you do have a problem.  Some of the messages are things like, "failed to do something this way, I'll try it another way" and that way succeeds.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;THe only one I find a bit odd is &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;/lib/modules/2.4.18-14/kernel/drivers/video/sis/sisfb.o&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Looks like you have framebuffer access set up but with the wrong driver.  Again this isn't really a problem.  &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;When your machine boots, do you get a small penguin in the top left of your screen?</description>

      <description>I would guess then, that your boot manager (lilo or grub) is passing a "VESA" argument to the kernel making it try and use the framebuffer.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;You could try and fix it but, to be honest, I don't think it's worth the bother.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mark</description>
