How to offline disk in OS

Hello

Do you know if there are any command to offline disk in OS of HPE server? Not in iLo.

If no, is there any tools which can do it? How to install the tool?

Hello,

For HPE ProLiant Servers which use HPE MegaRAID controllers, you may use the HPE MegaRAID Storage Administrator (MRSA) or StorCLI to change the status of a drive to offline. You may refer to section "13.3 Making a Drive Offline" on page 60 of the HPE MR Storage Administrator User Guide for more information.

You look up HPE MR Gen11 Controllers, and HPE MR Gen10 Controllers at HPE Support Center.

①Before I use MRSA, should I install first?

Sorry I can't find how to login MRSA page.

②Is there any command that can do this? Not GUI in MRSA.

BTW, the OS system is linux.

Hello,

Only HPE MegaRAID Gen10, Gen10+ and Gen11 controllers are configured and manged by the application MRSA. If any of the HPE MR controllers are installed, they can be configured by accessing the server's BIOS menu during POST to create RAID array and install the operating system. Once so done it can be installed within the operating system and manage the array therein.

For CLI version of the application you may install StorCLI.
