RedHat 7.2 kernel build on Digital Alpha hardware

I've downloaded the HP/Compaq RedHat 7.2 distrbution.

I'm trying to rebuild the Kernel.

I am unable to get a build with make mrproper;make menuconfig; make dep; {make bzImage or make zImage}

What should I use?

I expect to follow with make modules;make modules_install

I look forward to any assistance or comments
