RDP windows server with linux backbone

Anyone who know if this is possible and how to do it?

We have a Windows RDP server in which the idea is that you can start the deployment and start the blade. When the blade is active it should contact the linux DHCP, PXE, NFS, SMB server and then get an IP address.

My question is how we re-direct the blade to the RDP server, to tell it what should be loaded onto the blade server?

Being able to install Windows and Linux is a must !

From what I know of this it sounds like it is of an issue with MSoft RIS (I take it you are using Remote Installation Services on Windows server?)
Anyway in the DHCP setup you should be able to specify the location (IP Address) of the RIS server, so when the PXE Rom gets an IP it knows where to go to get an OS.

How you can then split it up into server "images" is unknown to me. I havent had overly much exposure to RIS.

Yes I guess it's somehow the DHCP configuration, do you know how this should be specified?

It is step by step instructions on setting up a RIS server and using it. This should tell you how to get it to work
