    <description>Given it's RH8, I'd say you've got the buggy version of 'rpm', of which hangs every now and then.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you do a query (rpm -q tk), and it hangs, you have it!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The fix is to remove the __* files from ./var/lib/rpm/', then give your -e another shot!</description>

      <description>Hello Jun,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;First I would check what is actually installed&lt;BR /&gt;on the system. A rpm --query tk should give you&lt;BR /&gt;this information. If this particular version of tk is installed on your system the hang might be caused by someone accessing one of the files that you try to remove. lsof might be of help to determine if this is the case.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Greetings, Martin</description>
