      <description>A very nice program for windows machines to do different kinds of connections to unix/linux and other platforms is "putty". It can handle telnet, rsh, ssh and raw connection, has a very good terminal emulations (needed to run curses based programs on the linux machine) and can be freely downloaded for the internet.</description>
