    <description>Both NFS client and server are RH 8.0.&lt;BR /&gt;I can not NFS mount.       <description>for start&lt;BR /&gt;try to disable iptables/ipchains if started.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do you have rpc related entries in /etc/hosts.deny?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;see the hostname of the client-the command "hostname".&lt;BR /&gt;then add this hostname with respective IP address to /etc/hosts &lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Tammy,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it seems that communication between clinet and server maybe doesn't work, did you try ping from client to server ?&lt;BR /&gt;also check folowing:&lt;BR /&gt;- if exists right default gateway by route command&lt;BR /&gt;- /etc/hosts.denny , allow&lt;BR /&gt;- iptables by iptables -L command&lt;BR /&gt;- /etc/exports for path and ip&lt;BR /&gt;- restart /etc/init.d/nfs restart&lt;BR /&gt;- exportfs -a&lt;BR /&gt;- rcpinfo or showmount from client&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I hope this will help you&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;br Jan&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
