getting this error before hang ...

Any idea? Thanks. What does tty=NODEV mean? Does it mean it can't allocate any more tty device or because it failed to auth. and no tty device was allocated? Thanks.

I get exactly the same messages if I try to login with an incorrect password.

NODEV probably means no (tty) device.
