Hi,

Are you installing or rebuilding?

Usually it happens when there are some dependencies between packages.

Frank.

Hi,

Basically I am installing sysstat for having utilities like iostat & sar to manage the OS & get statistics of the system. This is not for oracle.

Niranjan,

Are you sure this is not source RPM ? Be sure to download a binary package if you want to install. Have a look at http://rpmfind.net/, hope this will help you finding the best package.

One point left, please as long as you are refering to RedHat, don't say "Linux AS 3.0". RedHat is not Linux.

Regards,

Fred
Hi Fred,

I had downloaded the binary files only. Thanks for your help. I was able to download another binary file from http://rpmfind.net. This solved the problem
