    <description>What I guess is that the partitioner utility has a partition checking thingie which is checking the integrity of your partition table.  I really am guessing, but anyway you should try out Debian GNU and drop down to the manual partitioning via fdisk.</description>

      <description>hi &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;when i try to install linux using redhat 8 cd-1, it hangs at partition check, hda, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;same can be installed with redhat 6.2 cd, &lt;BR /&gt;laptop has one ntfs partiton, do i need to pass some special arguments &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards&lt;BR /&gt;chakri</description>
