Hi Dushyant,
What i doubt is some processes may not able to get closed during shutdown and that probably refers /var. Ultimately var is not umounted and shutdown is resulting into ungraceful shutdown which further corrupts /var.
You can try one thing i.e. exits all sessions you are running and issue shutdown and just watch out for any critical error messages during shutdown which is related to /var filesystem. Try to fix one and hope that resolves the problem.

Just a thought.

Hope that helps.
Regards,

IS there any messages on /var/log/mess* files

What is the size of /var mount point. Find it using df /var Is it full. If so try to rotate them in a periodical manner using logrotate or script + cron jobs

Is there any messages on squid cache.log file. I hope squid problem may be because of connectivity / acl settings.

Check it out. Trouble shooting will give you more knowledge not the format of disks :)
