      <description>rpm -qip packagename&lt;BR /&gt;will do that&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;You can always read the manual&lt;BR /&gt;man rpm</description>

      <description>rpm -qa | grep -i &lt;PARTIAL name="" of="" the="" package=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is a condensed version of the rpm command - this will allow you to see if a specific package is installed without having to go through the whole list as generated by rpm&lt;/PARTIAL&gt;</description>
