    <description>I've seen this happen several times when using RH7.x. What usually turns out to be the problem is that the RH7 box can't resolve a name for the other box.  Try adding the other box into the /etc/hosts table and see if that gets rid of the long wait.</description>

      <description>Hi all . I have Red-hat 7.2 on HP lp2000r running good . On another PC i have Red-hat 6.2  that doing monitoring via rlogin or rsh.&lt;BR /&gt;The way via FW is "open" and rlogin is work but take to match of time ~90s ....  In the reverse way (to RH 6.2 ) rlogin is immediaetly ~0.5s . My be any secure rules or checks making rlogin to RH 7.2 slowest ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank's in advance</description>

      <description>Cheri, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Would definately suspect name resolution issue, especially when the reverse direction works quickly (not a network issue per se).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
