      <description>I second that, however I don't think that sar as such is available for linux. I have used atsar (freshmeat) in the past that does the job. If anyone else knows of a sar package for linux please post, it would be helpful.</description>

      <description>sar in combination with sarcheck and you have a very neat automated performance analyzing tool.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;sar in combination with vmstat, top, netstat and other little unix tools give you loads of performance stats.</description>
