      <description>To change it on the active kernel&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ echo 'your value' &amp;gt;/proc/sys/kernel/shmall&lt;BR /&gt;$ echo 'your value' &amp;gt;/proc/sys/kernel/shmmax&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To change it so it survives the next reboot edit /etc/sysctl.conf and modify the following&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kernel.shmall = 'your value'&lt;BR /&gt;kernel.shmmax = 'your value'&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jean-Pierre</description>
