antivirus for samba server

I would like to setup a file server (nfs / linux). I cannot find out which commercial sw (trend?) can I use for virus protection: I don't think I am the only one in world who has this problem!

I uses McAfee VirusScan CommandLine to protect share folder of samba under linux.It's very useful .

Hi Andrea,

you may use Trend Micro solution, if you want a commercial one, or you may use ClamAV, a free software solution that is very good.

- virus protection for mail services?
- virus protection for file server?
- client (win32) protection?
?

something like Trend OfficeScan, or SV enterprise, I mean.

McAfee GroupShield for mail server,such as MS exchange , lotus domino
McAfee LinuxShield 1.1 for linux server
McAfee VirusScan Enterprise for linux server and win32 client

You can effectively scan samba shares from the client using MacAfee or Nortorn Anti Virus.

Symmantec has a commerical version of their NAV products for Red Hat and some other flavors of Linux.

I use http://www.bitdefender.com/index.php BitDefender on my Samba Servers (linux)

They have a suite of commercial products and also a free product.
