Hi Anwar,

your system does not have a raid controller ? If it has, it's better use hardware raid then software raid.

Just in case your system doesn't have a raid controller, linux has software raid that is called MD, just like HP mirror disk.

You may have all information you need at http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/other-formats/html/Software-RAID-HOWTO-html.tar.gz

regards,
xyko

Since you dont seem to have a hardware RAID controller , software RAID will work also. To get this to work though you need to configure this during install process. You'll need to re-install, when you get to the partitioning screen, select manaual and it will give you options for RAID.

www.linuxtech.cc

You can do it with linux software and you do NOT need reinstall. Yes this software is part of linux install. You need free disk any way :) one more :)

your link :)

http://www.faqs.org/contrib/linux-raid/x37.html#AEN116

Read and :
Ask for more :)

Sorry Dom, but I agree with Ivajlo.

Anwar does not need to reinstall the hole system, he can build the raid device using the actual partions as the primary one.

Please verify the informations on the document that I have posted on my first reply.

regards for all
xyko
