DL360-G3 Fan Noise with Red Hat 9.0

I am running Red Hat 9.0 on a DL360-G3. The cooling fans run at a very noisy 'high' level constantly. My application vendor tells me that this is because HP has not provided server health drivers for RedHat 9.0. Can anyone confirm if this is true? If not, can you point me to the drivers?

It is obvious that the fans themselves are making the noise. Nothing to do with drivers.

Let me clarify. It is my understanding that the fans are running on 'high' as they should at startup. Given that the server is located in a cooled location, I understand the fans should go to a slower, less noisy speed once the internal system tempurature is below a certain value. This downshift in fan speed is what I'm looking for.

Use the command "sensors". Do a man sensors to find our more about how to use it. That should help you.

Unfortunately, this is a vendor-managed server and I do not have access to the command line. I was hoping someone would come back and say the RedHat driver was release last year or something so I could go back to my vendor and ask that it be installed. Currently, they are unwilling to make a custom change to my server in this area.
