    <description>&lt;BR /&gt;hi,&lt;BR /&gt;What needs to be done  for a Linux Ldap client to get  the user  UID/GID after directly from a Novell Edirectory LDAP server after authorized by the Ldap server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We added the UID/GID to the LDAP entry on the Novell eDirectory server for the&lt;BR /&gt;user but the Linux Ldap client keeps consulting&lt;BR /&gt;local /etc/passwd for UID/GID; we&lt;BR /&gt;also have set /etc/nsswitch passwd compat&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>
