I have been trying to install SUSE Linx 7.2 onto a HP Vectra 5/133C System and as the CD-ROM is mounted the system hangs could you please explain to me what is happening and what I need to do to rectify this problems and if after I have over come this problem if there will be any more & what I need to rectify these

Andrew,

A couple of things that may be useful...

1. Is there an OS currently installed on the system? If so, can you mount cd's while the system is up?

2. Is your system set to try and boot from cdrom first?

3. Can you get another system to boot from the media that you are using? (Ruling out a bad cdrom).

4. Do you get any error messages on the screen?
