You should make a SATA controller  driver disk for linux install.&lt;BR /&gt;When you boot from linux install cd ,type "linux dd" to loading SATA contorller driver from driver disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;NiCK</description>

      <description>1. on hardware vendor site.&lt;BR /&gt;BTW, can you provide more info about your hardware?&lt;BR /&gt;2. you'll receive manual together with driver. Usually it's "driver floppy disk", which you should use during installation.</description>

      <description>See if you can define you hard drive in Bios with Legacy option.This way your linux should be able to work with it.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>agree with Vitaly.. i encounter this problem with SATA before and try to play with the BIOS drive config then it works.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Drive Configuration&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ATA/IDE Configuration  Legacy&lt;BR /&gt;Legacy IDE Channels  [SATA P0/P1, PATA sec]&lt;BR /&gt;PCI IDE Bus Master  [Enabled]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hope this helps...&lt;BR /&gt;Bong</description>
