    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;make sure that ftp service started.&lt;BR /&gt;See inetd.conf file and make sure that there is an entry similar to &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ftp        tream tcp nowait root /usr/lbin/ftpd      ftpd -la /etc/ftpd/ftpac:q&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;edit /etc/ftpd/ftpusers&lt;BR /&gt;and add all the users except those you want to gice ftp access.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;looks like as follows&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#cat /etc/ftpd/ftpusers&lt;BR /&gt;user1&lt;BR /&gt;user2&lt;BR /&gt;user3&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;make sure that your /etc/ftpaccess have got the following entry.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;class all real,anonymous,guest *&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you have made any changed just do &lt;BR /&gt;#inetd -c&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps.&lt;BR /&gt;Reply pls.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Syam&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have red hat linux server 9.0.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I want to make it as FTP Server and only 3 user need to do ftp services.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what should i do?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;its urgent. pls repsond asap.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks in advance&lt;BR /&gt;siva&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
