To give you enough confidence to give it a "try". I'm using Smartarry controllers on DL380s all the way back to RH2.1AS - which is pretty far back in time. So, I'd say that there is a fair chance that it's in Fedora. I don't think I've got 6i controllers though, they may be 4 or 5 - and that could make a difference. But, my advice is to try it - what can it hurt?

Can someone tell me if FC3 can recognize the Smartarray 6i storage controller on the DL380 DL360G4 during installation?

I know RedHat ES 3 Update 4 recognizes the 6i, but I want to use FC3 instead.

I don't have a server to try it on. The one I had before was sold. I'm trying to spec out a new one.

Can someone try to boot from the FC3 CD and see if it recognizes the hard disk? I remember that the boxed version of RHES3 would load the driver for the controller during the initial part of the install (ccis or something like that) but when it got to the partition part, it wouldn't see the disks. RHES3 U4 fixed that problem.
