Hi,

From my experience, XE3 is designed around ACPI, not APM. The standby function is in the BIOS, not APM, so standby will not work with Linux. Hibernate (sleep to disk, Fn+F12) should work if the hibernate partition is the right size and type. So, the apm code that relies on APM features for standby simply will not work with this machine.

Try this site: http://www.swiss.ai.mit.edu/projects/omnibook/

Best of luck,
Carmelo Grecia
