    <description>Hi there.&lt;BR /&gt;Find outfrom which terminal oracle has been logged in( btmp / wtmp /utmp ). Then check the alertlog file of oracle for the time. In the sulog you can see, whether oracle has been logged in with 'su '.&lt;BR /&gt;Rgds&lt;BR /&gt;Alexander M. Ermes</description>

      <description>As far as I know the dbshut command produces no logs.&lt;BR /&gt;Usually the dbshut command is executed by the oracle user; maybe you can watch the system logs to find who logged in as oracle user immediately before the database shutdown.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ciao&lt;BR /&gt;Claudio&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;P.S.: ... hope you won't fire him...</description>
