    <description>DL380 eh?  What controller did you plug it in to? The onboard 5i/6i? Or do you have another SCSI controller in there?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The 5i/6i will only be able to take an internal hot-plug tape drive, so you will *NEED* a different SCSI controller to plug a tape drive into.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If it is plugged into another controller, then what type of controller is it, so we can see if the appropraite drivers are available.</description>

      <description>Dear All&lt;BR /&gt;i have HP DL380 server i install redhat Enterprise Linux AS v.4 i connect a scsi DLT tape drive to the system and reboot it but the system does not detect the tape drive , itry to run a script to detect the tape drive it give me the following error&lt;BR /&gt;" No SCSI host adapters found in sysfs"</description>

      <description>you may have to load drivers for scsi adapters.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;second when you reboot ur server, the tape drive should be kept on (if it is external). &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check dmesg output for any st0/nst0 entries&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Gopi</description>

      <description>if u r having external tape drive then u should connect it to another scsi bus other than 6i controller. 6i is internal controller.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
