    <description>I'm not familiar with Mandrake.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Take a look in /dev and see if you have the following entries: &lt;ST0&gt; and &lt;ST1&gt;. If so,&lt;BR /&gt;then just make a soft link to it with rmt0.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  ln -s st0 rmt0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and if you have the &lt;MT&gt; utility, try doing a &lt;MT status=""&gt; and see if it responds.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/MT&gt;&lt;/MT&gt;&lt;/ST1&gt;&lt;/ST0&gt;</description>

      <description>How do I add my internal SCSI 4mm HP DAT drive to mandrake 7.1.  I try using makdev and I get nothing.  I see the drive as part of the kernel known hardware at boot up, yet I cannot tar or cpio to the tape drive?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
